Marketing Team: Name, posters, etc.

The name for the design is "Bang Shack Smoke Hut." It sounds weird right? But that's exactly the reaction we want. We wanted a name that would grab people's attention, maybe even mislead them a bit because this is such a short notice event. We also wanted to use a name that sounds kind of funky and fun, reflecting the characteristic of the Kensington neighborhood.

Our team also came up with a bunch of poster ideas, you can see them posted below. We wanted to use a funky, sort of cheesy jungle theme, because it not only relates to the bongos and the inscence, but we figured the dome to be like a hut as well. The cheesyness and random looking jungle images will also capture the attention and reel in their curiousity.

Another poster

These will be the flyers, size 4 by 6 each

((Sorry for the small size of the image, I had to reduce the image size because it took so bloody long to post it kept freezing on me))More posters will be posted as well

For the budget for printing, the marketing team is willing to pay up to 60-80 dollars for printing depending on how many copies we make. We haven't yet come up with an esstimate

We were also thinking about creating a facebook group for the event and inviting friends, because the word tends to catch quick on the web.

We also have Paul Wolf Electric number and adress 425 Alliance ave. Toronto
The number 416-504-8195
The extension for Managment Craig Lockwood is 333 He would be the person to talk to about sponsoring our installation

  1. Hi marketing team :),

    I had a few questions:

    1. Is all of this art original? We probably aren't allowed to use some of these images if they belong to others.
    2. Did you get in touch with Paul Wolf Electric, and if so, what was the outcome of that?

    Thanks :)

  2. Fantastic work Marketing Team! Wow!

Good points Gina. Perhaps we can get away with the vintage images (if that's what they are). We can also "sample" (collage) smaller portions of others. E.g. I think the man with the missing face is fine. Reinterpretation is also another way to go.

Let's discuss this as a class on Monday...
